Osijek based writer and translator Ivana Sojat-Kuci partakes at the moment in the programme of the International Literary Festival 'Writers in Focus' in Subotica (Serbia). She's the only Croatia representative present at the festival which is set to take place from 29th to 31st of March.

C.K. Stead from New Zealand has won first place for his story "Last Season's Man" in the Sunday Times short-story competition. Stead, 77, won the prize, worth 25,000 pounds, for a story about Croatian writers. The action takes place in Croatian cities Zagreb and Zadar and deals with a conflict between an older and a younger writer.

Bulaja.com started the development of a new animated and interactive project for the youngest - ´The Cat Time Stories´. After ´Croatian Tales of Long Ago´, with the new project they will also continue to translate works from Croatian literature to new forms, but this time it is a modern author: the project is based on a short story collection ´The Cats´ by Nada Horvat, writer from Zagreb.

There are only seven preserved statues of the ancient Greek athlete Apoxyomenos in the world, and one of them - a bronze statue - was found in 1999 in the Croatian part of the Adriatic Sea, close to the island of Lošinj, stuck between two rocks at the depth of forty-five meters.
