Osijek based writer and translator Ivana Sojat-Kuci partakes at the moment in the programme of the International Literary Festival 'Writers in Focus' in Subotica (Serbia). She's the only Croatia representative present at the festival which is set to take place from 29th to 31st of March.

C.K. Stead from New Zealand has won first place for his story "Last Season's Man" in the Sunday Times short-story competition. Stead, 77, won the prize, worth 25,000 pounds, for a story about Croatian writers. The action takes place in Croatian cities Zagreb and Zadar and deals with a conflict between an older and a younger writer.

Romina Dusic presents her photographs and video artworks titled 'Escapes' for the opening of the Vorteks - Cultural and Educational Centre in Skopje on 27th of March. Cultural Centre Vorteks is a new space dedicated to photography, video art and new media art.

Croatian Historic Newspapers is the new central portal that provides access to digitised Croatian newspapers from the collections of National and University Library in Zagreb and other heritage institutions in Croatia. The aim of the portal is to enable access to historic newspapers for a wide range of users.
